Estampe numerique is a work of art created on a computer and printed with a digital printer. Thanks to technical innovations, artists can control the multiplicity of their work in several formats and different media. It is a work in progress that continues to evolve with the innovations and whims of the artist.
The possibilities offered by digital printing calls in question the relationship between art and human beings. It is the birth of a cultural and artistic expression proper to the 21st century, that promises great and dynamic innovations.

The Association internationale d'estampe numerique, aiD’en, mixes artists and other participants ( ink manufacturers, printing ateliers etc. ) who share a common goal of quality of the final artwork.

To name this new artistic form, we have chosen not to translate “estampe numerique” whose cultural and affective roots are franco-japanese.

The aiD’en goal is to organize around the “estampe numerique” global cultural and artistic activities in order to widen the recognition of this genre and of the term “estampe numerique”.
